I took lugnut to the vet this afternoon since he was drinking a lot and going outside constantly. Of late he was unable to go more than about two hours without going outside, even at night. After some bloodwork, it turns out he is diabetic and will need two shots of insulin every day. Hopefully, we can get his diabetes under control quickly and get him feeling better. I thought about diabetes in dogs and never knew that you picked up the supplies at any pharmacy. It felt odd going and asking for needles and insulin, but I guess it is something to get used to. The vet gave him the first dose and I will start in the morning.
